In my spare time...

I knit!! I started last year when I was on mat leave as a way of having a project and to feel a little more productive. (Yes, I was taking care of and raising my daughter but like many of you teacher-bloggers out there I needed to feel like at the end of the day made something...I was creative. It;s probably no surprise that this blog was also started while I was on mat leave....) But to get back to the knitting. It has really become something I enjoy doing and I am constantly seeking (and pinning) new projects.

This is the baby blanket I just finished for my cousin and his new wife...their baby is coming in less than a week so I finished just in time!

This pattern is from The Purl Bee, one of my favourite places for knitting inspiration. They have great crochet and sewing ideas as well.

I have just started learning how to crochet and it's going...okay! I am a much better knitter so far. My current project is a sweater for my daughter and I am about 2/3 done. It will be my first project that requires blocking...so we'll see how that goes.

I love those! I crochet and do other crafty things. I'm posting once a week on a craft project that I completed. I'm checking out this blog you mentioned.
