I created a note-taking sheet for the first chapter, based on the headings in the book. What do you think? Useful? Not so much?
Would it be better to have a note-taking sheet to record thoughts from other people's blog posts instead of the book?

Great idea! I am going to do this when I'm teaching informational text.

Great tool you have created! I still will write in the book and probably take additional notes - but like the compactness of your sheet. Thanks so much. Am looking forward to this book study. I will have a split next year and will need to change my guided reading a bit.
I think it's a great idea! I learn best when I take notes. :-)
Too cute! It's very fun and interactive. Do you by any chance want to make all my note sheets for my students ;o)
Thanks!

Hi Beth
Love your blog and used it for an AQ assignment. I read in one of your posts that you were referencing Ontario Curriculum. If you are a Canadian Blogger I would invite you to link up here http://madlylearning.blogspot.ca/2012/06/calling-all-canadian-teacher-bloggers.html
