I am so excited to be starting the Guided Math: A Framework for Mathematics Instruction! Even though it's the end of the school year (17 days!!) and things are winding down I am excited about this opportunity to learn more about teaching math. It's definitely not my strongest area and one where I have done very little professional development.

You'll have to let me know if this is a something you'd suggest to others :)

Learning Is Something to Treasure
Lisa, I was worried about that too but my book arrived today. I hope yours isn't far behind.
DeleteThanks for following.
I may join this book study. I spent the end of the year dabbling in math workshop, and I hope to move forward with it full force next year. This may be a help!

Lifelong Learning
Jennifer, I would love to hear more about your math workshop. Math is one area where I have done very little PD.
DeleteI just bought this book a couple of months ago and I am also anxious to see if it can help me teach math now that my class size is 30+ students.
ReplyDelete30+...OMG!! How do you handle that?
DeleteI just purchased this book as well. I would love to follow this book study. Is there a plan?
ReplyDeleteI put a link to the blog that is mainly hosting the book study, Primary Inspired. From what I can tell, it's mainly a chapter a week.
