I'm looking for some suggestions for this summer's book study!
I know I have been very MIA round here this year but I am hoping that with summer coming I can turn that around. It's been tricky going back to work with two kids, finding time to workout and get everything else I want to get done…done.
Something had to give and unfortunately it was blogging.
But the summer is just a short 5 weeks away (praise the lord!!) and I am thinking about some summer reading.
So lay it on me!
What book (or books) would you like to do for a book study?

Hello, Beth! I am in the same boat as you with the kiddos and finding time to get things done. I'm so glad summer is just around the corner because I have so many books on my Amazon "Wish List" that I'd love to dive into this summer, if I find the time. ;) Since I'm a Reading Specialist, all of my "Wish List" books are literacy related. I can't even narrow it down to one book, but jumping into a book study with someone may give me the push I need. I'd be willing to join you, if you're looking for participants! If you get responses for a popular literacy-related book study, keep me posted. :)

So excited to hear you are interested in an on-line book study. I have two suggestions, "The Leader In Me", or "Essential Questions: Opening Doors to Student Understanding".
I ordered the book "The Reading Strategies Book" by Jennifer Seravallo that will be delivered soon. I know I'll be diving into that book. Maybe it will be a great one for a Book Study? :)

Teaching With Intention by Debbie Miller
Notice and Note by Beers and Probst
Teach Like a Pirate by Dave Burgess
Just got The Unstoppable Writing Teacher by Colleen Cruz in the mail today. So excited to read it. Waiting on The Reading Strategies Book to arrive - I think it's due the beginning of June.

Oh, I'd love to read Notice and Note, as well as Teaching With Intention, that Denice Scott mentioned above. They're also on my "Wish List" of books to read. :)

You are preaching to the choir! Ever since our little man came into our lives, bye bye blogging. I'm happy to say that I am starting to get back in the groove of things! I just bought Learn Like a Pirate (I read Teach Like a Pirate last year and LOVED it) and Teaching with Intention is on my Wish List. Let me know if you find anything good!
